I had work done in June/July 2016. Mike had asked me for a progress payment during the process, I paid this using my credit card over the phone. The job was fairly small and took over a month. Mike did not return my calls for weeks. I finally tracked him down, picked up my boat and paid the final payment. 
I recently discovered that I had four fraudulent charges on my credit card totaling over 10K, this was over a four month period. I called him to get this straightened out and of course, no return call. I am in the process of getting my money back and making sure this does not happen to anyone else.
