Ordered on October 13, 2020 and waited 3 months for an ARE truck toppe... read more Ordered on October 13, 2020 and waited 3 months for an ARE truck topper due to Covid. Turns out an employee says he called and left a message (reviewed Verizon record NO CALL NO MESSAGE) on January 14, 2021. I called the business twice since that date and was told I would have to wait for the call (it was already delivered to their business supposedly January 14.) Did not listen to me or check. For almost a month they failed to do any follow up call. I had to pay for another month storage fee for a trailer because of this. Called twice since January 14 and the owner still failed to check or communicate with his employee. I finally called ARE Customer Service and they said they would check status with an "N" number (topper serial #). I called owner and he said he didn't have an N number and seemed to not know what I was talking about. Suddenly I get an upbeat message on my phone from another employee saying to schedule my install. No apology, no admission that 2 people at this business failed. They had 1000 deposit for 4 months. When I asked for a discount because of this failure they became intractable. Losing trust in their ability to install without further problems I asked for my 1000 back and they said they and A.R.E would charge me my deposit as a restocking fee even though THEY had it in stock for almost a month. I had one choice: pay the money, get it installed. ARE ended up getting involved. Beware if they make a mistake... they did not acknowledge it. BTW I found out the hard way that when they went into my left brake light electric bundle the left break light was not working when driven away from their shop.
