We did some reputation checking through local contacts first and proceeded after receiving good feedback. Sales Manager Jim was great, as was the owner, Sam. The price was fair. The process was easy and no pressure. We intentionally waited several months before posting reviews to make sure we were not unduly influenced by emotion (very happy all around) and to make sure no unforeseen mechanical issues evolved. We had one minor issue with a fog light. Selective fixed it free of charge. We had one issue within about a month of purchase with an engine warning light. Selective offered to investigate and assess resolution free of charge, but we declined because we had already put them to a lot of trouble over the fog light and they had been so gracious about it. It turned out to be a $100 vacuum hose replacement. We've had no issues since then. We will buy our next car from Selective. Jim and Sam are good men and true to their word.
