Thanks Guys! 
My Subaru had been given a diagnosis of "about to die" by a Boston local dealership. My friends had been telling me about Jimmy and his staff for years so I brought it over and gave him the estimate and list of repairs from the dealer.
Sadly for my car he corroborated that most of what they said was true. 
What Jimmy did tell me though was that it wasn't all going to happen that day or the next. I decided to have the brakes fixed and then the oil pan.
My Dad was a mechanic. I could tell that Jimmy was telling me the truth. He runs his place just like my Dad did.
