They diagnosed a dead battery and when I questioned if they also checked the starter and alternator, Tony copped an attitude with me and even told me I could take it somewhere else to be looked at. I told him to replace the battery and also could he do an oil change and tire rotation and he said yes. When I went to pick up the car and Christina told me what was done she only said battery replacement and oil change, not tire rotation and when I asked her if it was done, she said if I asked for it, then it was done even though they didn’t charge me so I asked her to check with the mechanic who came up front and said no one told him to do a tire rotation, so he didn’t do it. Also, they emailed me a six page courtesy digital vehicle inspection with pictures of my car’s various parts and nothing is checked. There’s an inspection rating key that’s supposed to say if the item is OK, if it requires attention or if it requires immediate attention and nothing was checked. When I took it in at the time I picked up my car and I questioned Christina about it, she said if nothing was checked, then that meant everything was OK which I highly doubt is the truth. After I paid for everything and took my car home days later when I actually looked at the invoice they charged me $47 for a tire protection plan even though they did nothing with my tires. When I called about it I spoke to Christina who said I shouldn’t have been charged for it and that she couldn’t do a refund without me coming in with my credit card so then I had to take off from work to go back to get my refund. I paid $567 for a new battery and an oil change and I will never go back.
Had a oil change on 4/15/24 I told the manger to tell the service pers... read more Had a oil change on 4/15/24 I told the manger to tell the service person only put 8 quarts in my vehicle that’s wat the vehicle call for the manger stated give her a moment at that time I just open door before the service person start opening and pouring last container oil inside the engine and wats so sad about the situation he poured 9 quarts inside the engine wen I made him aware only hold 8 quarts then I spoke to manger the same day she stated bring vehicle back and they will take some oil out at this point left my oil to low I paid 40.00 each for castor oil 5 quarts that’s wat my vehicle calls for Land Rover vehicle very bad service I truly do believe the service people on hope mills road is not well educated about vehicles something so simple became a big issue
I have used Ed’s Tire for many years. They were dependable and consist... read more I have used Ed’s Tire for many years. They were dependable and consistent. I recently had an issue with a vehicle so we took it to Ed’s. Apparently the shop is now owned by a new company and they charge way more than before. They fixed one of the issues without telling me what it was and charged way more than I was expecting. I will be taking my business somewhere else in the future.
