They had me fill out some paperwork and performed a free diagnostic. They told me I needed a transmission rebuilt which would cost between $1100-1300 depending on what they found once they got inside my transmission. I didn't have that much money so I left. A few hours later I got an unexpected phone call from them ( they got my phone number off of the paperwork I filled out earlier ). They told me they had an incredible offer for me; they would do the transmission job for only $1000 but I had to bring the car in no later than the following day. I told them I would think about it. Had my car towed to a dealership instead. Turns out the transmission is fine; it was the throttle position sensor that needed replacing-- total cost out-the-door $225 and my car has been shifting correctly ever since. My advice; always get, at the very least, a second opinion.
