I purchased my car there less than a year ago and have been to the service department 3-4 times so far, after purchasing the oil change package with the purchase of my car. Oil changes have taken 2+ hours, the first time I was there they could not rotate my tires because they didn't have the key to unlock them -- something that they said they would need to get from the Hyundai dealer about a block away. Phone calls go unreturned; every time I've had to call to schedule a service it takes a minimum of 2-3 calls before anyone returns my call. I did finally start scheduling oil changes through the web site. For several defects and manufacturer recalls (under warranty) the service manager (who knew exactly what the issues were) passed me off to the service lane manager for scheduling an appointment. When I was finally able to get in for that appointment, I was told that I had to take my vehicle to the Hyundai dealership. They didn't offer to drive it to the dealership for me (again, a block away) or offer anything beyond a "really sorry." If I had to purchase another vehicle I would NOT go to Hendrick Pre-Owned JUST because of their service department! And, everytime I've been there I've heard other people complaining about similar issues -- taking too much time, confusion over scheduling, etc.

I took my Highlander to a local mechanic and they told me it needed a ... read more I took my Highlander to a local mechanic and they told me it needed a new motor. Phil told me it just needed a valve cover. I was very happy to pay $1000 instead of $7000. Fast forward a few months and our truck started misfiring. Local mechanic once again said it needed a new motor and Phil told me that I should have brought it to him to begin with. Well, I got it towed there and the next day he tells me it definitely needs a new motor. I was upset, but these things happen. I go to pick the thing up and he charges me $190 for the troubleshooting.... I really didn't know what to say. You would think that after charging me $1000 for a job that was pointless that he wouldn't pour salt on the wound and charge me for something I was told needed done in the first place. Ridiculous. Don't take your business here!!!
