I took the flat to Delco Auto to see if it could be fixed. Steve said the sidewall was torn and I needed a new tire. He ordered it but in the meantime my boyfriend said I should try Tires Plus. Unfortunately due to the storm they were closed. So I got the tire from Delco because it's the closest tire place and I figured I could walk over to Walt's and get a steak while I wait. Steve puts the new tire on then comes inside and hands me a lug nut. He asks me who put the spare on and I said my roadside assistance. He says, "well they broke this lug nut off, and the pin that it screws onto is broken off inside. You need to call them and see what they'll do for you. They'll probably try to blame me, but this was already broken as I was taking the spare off." First of all, the guy from roadside assistance used HAND TOOLS. How much strength would he need to break off a pin and a lug nut with a tire iron? Second, if it was broken how did Steve hand it to me? Wouldn't it just be gone if the roadside guy broke it? This is simply a nightmare. I should have waited another day and gone to Tires Plus where surely this type of thing doesn't happen and if it does, they'd own up to it. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT go to Delco Auto & Tire.

It is best to call them during working hours, describe the issue(s), and set an appointment for drop off. They allow you to drop the keys through a mail slot and leave your car if dropping off before they open. They call you if there are issues and when the auto is ready for pick up. They offer great services, at good prices, give decent estimates, and communicate any issues during the process. The only drawback is that Tom is kind of a curmudgeon. He is a very honest and trustworthy person, but is grumpy nine times out of ten. My wife and I have been going to Stephanou's for about seven years or so. They are awesome.
I took my Volvo here because they said they were Volvo certified - the... read more I took my Volvo here because they said they were Volvo certified - they are not. Although the car was running perfectly fine, we wanted them to check out a "Check transmission next service" message. Three thousand dollars later, the message is still there and the car is stone cold dead in my driveway. They said there is nothing more they can do - and they were RUDE about it. Also, a Volvo mechanic told me that they charge at least 1 1/2 times what others charge. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE.
