Eds Auto Body Shop

While I must admit the location of this body shop is quite scary the first time you get there - what with its tattered buildings, countless broken cars, and empty streets - don't let that discourage you. My boyfriend's car's radiator broke down in the middle of our anniversary road trip down to Austin and instead of going through the trouble of applying sealant and cancelling our trip, we chose to replace the radiator altogether. We purchased a new radiator from a separate shop and brought it to Ed, who managed to squeeze us in the day of. He told us that if we brought the car in at noon, he would have it done by 4:00pm - but keep in mind, both his son and himself have to take separate lunch breaks along with an hour waiting period for the radiator to cool down enough for him to get his hands on it. Not only did Ed finish at exactly 4:00pm, he did all the things I wish all body shops would do. He replaced the old radiator and got it working without any problems. He was kind enough to return the radiator cap that the store clerk made us buy because the new radiator came with one, rather than just keeping it for himself. He filled us in on other problems our '93 Corolla suffered from without pressuring us or tricking us into having those problems fixed immediately. He charged us exactly $75 for the labor (keeping in mind that Firestone tried to charge us $180) without any additional charges of tax.

Ed is a very honest and straightforward man. While his shop may not be in the best location or condition, it does not take away from his services. I would recommend Ed any day to anyone looking for great services at more than half the cost. This really does bring the saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover," into light.
