There were a few miscommunications, however, some of the parts that they were going to try to re-use were bad. They got my car running and came in within a reasonable budget. Would I use them again, yes. Would I recommend them to someone I like - yes. Would I send my grandchild to them - yes.

The real owner is Angel Delgado and mostly works in the back. He knows engines from top to bottom. Owner/mechanic is talented but as in most cases the good quality comes with a bad service. David the front desk attendant will talk to you at length of how the engine will be repaired, but he has no control as to how the work is scheduled. Expect a good engine rebuild, but it will take them several days, weeks and even months from the promised date of completion. So if you go in with this mindset you'll be happy, otherwise, David will be very crafty in explaining the reasons why they didn't finish and why its not their fault, of course it never is. Their prices used to be fair, now they are trending to the upper scale. They used to charge per size of the engine, for example a 2.0 liter engine would be 2K for rebuild, but this does not include parts in most cases, so expect to pay about 50% more of what they quote. I'm not saying that they'll scam you, but David earns a percentage of what he bills and collects, so, if the week is bad in collecting, you may be the one footing a larger price. At the end of the day they do get the work done but you need to lose a lot of time seating in their waiting room, calling, coming back and forth, etc. That last part, is the worst and sadly it seems to be an industry trend. Would I use them again, maybe, for a car I have no urgency to use asap.
