Luckily with Vick's it isn't a bad experience. Dane, the owner, is very friendly and will work with you to get you car working. I've been coming here for two years to service my accord; everything from oil changes to "my car won't start" and every time Dane has taken care of me. His prices are fair and I haven't had any issues with the work to date. Given what most experiences are with mechanics, all I can say is I'm thrilled to have found a good, fair, shop around Austin.

Beware. I called to speak with them about a diminished value appraisal... read more Beware. I called to speak with them about a diminished value appraisal. I gave them the specifics of my vehicle, and the owner (wouldn't give me his name) indicated that they would charge $455 for the service, but if the damages were not over $5,000 they wouldn't be able to help. I assured him the damages were over that amount. I asked him to give me some advice on when to to get him involved to make sure I didn't miss a step in the process that would hurt my claim with the other party's insurance and he indicated he would not be able to help me and then hung up on me. I called back and the receptionist told me he had left the building. Make your own conclusions on the trustworthiness of this company.
